In The Maranatha Project, the term ‘Hypostatic Chip’ is used to describe the mini-God that is infused into a new believer to signify the presence of eternal life. It is the seal of the ownership of the human vessel by God and the divine agency in the hands of the Holy Spirit for transforming those with this gift into Christ-likeness.
In Gen 1:26 God said “Let Us make man in our image and likeness …” The image of God in man can be likened to the God-breathed “cloven tongues like as of fire” that sat on each of the 120 disciples in the Upper Room. The breath of life is Eternal Life. Apostle Peter called it the Incorruptible Seed. Writers of the books of the Bible have different names for it ranging from ‘breath of life’ in Gen 2:7 to ‘gods’ as used in Ps 82:6. Apostle Paul described it variously as ‘new man’ and ‘new creation’ while Apostle John called it “His spirit” in 1 Jn 4:13.
Modern readers would be more familiar with software chips for computer or SIM cards in telephone handsets than with agricultural seeds. In this computer age, therefore, I prefer to call it ‘Hypostatic Chip’ because it has a lot of similarities in operation with computer software. Eternal life implanted in a believing Christian has essential characteristics similar to an agricultural seed, computer chip or telephone data card, hence Hypostatic Chip.
Many people measure themselves against other people. This is wrong. You should measure yourself against the standard of God. Jesus is the standard of measurement. Of Jesus, God said: “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased” (Mt 3:17). Jesus has projected Himself into every believer in the form of a Chip.
Imagine a telephone handset without a SIM card. It will still look like a telephone handset. With a battery, it can light up, with an error report “NO SIM.” Once a SIM is inserted and the set is powered on, a network is located which in turn activates the handset by registering it and giving it access to the prescribed facilities in the SIM. The handset is ready for use.
Some people use their handsets only to make and receive calls. Some use other available facilities like text messaging, internet browsing, listening to radio frequencies, taking pictures and making movies. The point is unless you explore the inbuilt facilities in your SIM card, you may be using your telephone handset at a considerably low level of the SIM’s capacity.
The same is true of the Hypostatic Chip. Without its implantation a person cannot be ‘born again.’ As it is written there is none righteous, no not one. The reason is that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. All that are born into the world are sinners, children of the devil. Implantation of a Hypostatic Chip signifies change of ownership, translation from death to life and change from being a child of the devil to becoming a child of God by adoption. With the Chip in place the Christian journey from babyhood to maturity begins. The Chip must be explored to access the “riches of Christ.”
Genuine prosperity means growing in grace, “You therefore, beloved, since you know this beforehand, beware lest you also fall from your own steadfastness, being led away with the error of the wicked; but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now and forever” (2 Pet 3:17-18). It means downloading “every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ” and diligently and obediently following the instructions on the dialogue box. That is the only way to unravel the mystery of Christ.
That is the assured way to receive the provision made by the Father in time past. “That He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height–to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God” (Eph 3:16-19). It is through the Hypostatic Chip that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ has given us all things richly to enjoy. See Ephesians 1:17-22.
Abundant Life In Church Era
Revelation is progressive and impactful. Divine revelation has the capacity of changing human thought process, systems, material situations and governmental methodologies. It is the foundation on which the Church of Jesus Christ is built. Prophets and teachers are not denominational properties. Pastors who restrain members of their congregation from attending programs organized by other ministries may face judgment of Hosea 4:6-7 which is rejection by God. It is a serious sin in the sight of God to obstruct God’s children from acquiring knowledge using denominational divide.
Everything written in the Bible from Genesis to Revelation is for the New Covenant believer. It is not everything in the Bible that is about Christians. The Old Testament history, types and shadows were designed for us as “examples, and they were written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the ages have come.”
The Gospels spell out the doctrines of Christ while the epistles expatiate on them. The pastoral and general epistles are God’s letters to the Church. God has a glorious plan for mankind.
The abundant life Christ gives is characterized with biblical and fruitful relationship on earth and the occupation of expected position in heaven. It operates by grace and works. The grace of God that saves to the utmost can take you to heaven but your activities on earth will determine the level of abundance you will enjoy in heaven. Creditable activities are earned on earth through working the works inscribed in Hypostatic Chips implanted into those translated from death to life.
Hypostatic Chips represent eternal life, the non-material part of mankind that existed in the heart of God from the beginning and resident in the Word from the foundation of the world. The eternal life in Christ Jesus is actually given out to regenerate people in the form of a Chip, also known as the Incorruptible Seed or ‘His spirit.’
Jesus came to the world to seek and save His lost kingdom, re-establish the broken link between heaven and earth and redeem mankind to enjoy abundant life as originally envisaged in the Garden of Eden. The good life Jesus brought is not so much of what you enjoyed on earth but how much joy your activities on earth brought to other human beings.
Every human being is designed to make impact in the life of at least one other person. No two persons are alike. Hypostatic Chips contain human destinies. True success in life is not so much of how far you climbed in the social ladder; success that counts with God is the degree of positive change brought in the life and welfare of others, which is the mandate of Jesus. A life lived solely for the enjoyment of self is a wasted life.
Hypostatic growth is the only way to be Christ-like. Are you growing in grace per time?
